Face Recognition Terminal VF205
VF205 series (incl. VF205-pro temperature) pole-mount face terminal manual: features, install & wiring, specs, operating modes, quick setup and backend config.

The VF205 series is a pole-mount face terminal for turnstiles and lobbies; VF205-pro adds a temperature module. This manual covers install, networking, quick setup and maintenance.
Product Overview
VF205 runs Linux, 8GB storage (16/32GB expandable), with RS485, Wiegand, Ethernet (4G and GPS optional). Face verification is on-device, outputting person ID on success. 8-inch touch screen, real voice prompt and protocol-mode development.
Key features: ≥97% accuracy at full DB, < 0.3s/person; 0.3–1.5m distance, up to 50000 faces and 50000 records; mask detection and silent liveness; TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP; IP66 (non-4G non-temperature version).
Appearance
Front: IR camera, RGB camera, white fill light, IR fill light and 8-inch HD touch screen. Mounting: turnstile, 86-box, flat-wall and pole. VF205-pro has a temperature probe; mind its orientation.
Avoid backlight, direct sunlight or close strong light on the reading area.

Installation
86-box, pole or turnstile mounting; screw-terminal or bare-wire versions, wire by label. Unused pins must be insulated. The electric lock defaults to power-off open / power-on lock (two-core); other types connect per spec.

Technical Specifications
Linux, 8GB (16/32G expandable), ARM Cortex A7 MP2 1GHz; 8-inch 800×1280. Comm: 10/100M, 2.4G WiFi, RS485, Wiegand 26/34, 4G/GPS optional; relay 30V/1A, 2 alarm inputs. Power DC 9–24V (12V recommended), max 16W. See Specs card.
Operating Modes
Transparent: face matches local DB only, card/QR output directly. Protocol: host via 485/TCP/HTTP returns results. Dev: card read/write only. Whitelist: pass after local whitelist match.
Backend Login
After networking the screen shows network icon, IP, time and SN. Same network, browse http://deviceIP:8060/; default admin / password. Set device config password after login.

Quick Setup Scenarios
Scenario 1 (online, face-only): backend → add person → upload/capture → transparent mode. Scenario 3 (whitelist): card/QR via whitelist for access; face any mode.

With Security Module
Standalone: device does recognition and output locally. With a security module: stricter permission and alarm linkage for higher-security sites.

Backend Configuration
Basic: brightness, screen-off, screensaver, logo image, volume, auto time/zone. Voice & output per-event for face/card/QR. Face config: thresholds, liveness, mask, distance. Auth mode: recognition type, work mode and online channel. Whitelist, firmware, personnel and records in backend.

Installation Notes
Enrollment photo: 80–512px, 50–300K, 512–800×640–1024, JPG, natural. Avoid backlight and strong light; insulate unused pins.
