Thank you for using the VF106 face terminal. Reading this document carefully will help you understand the device functions and features, and quickly master its use and installation.

The VF106 uses a quad-core 64-bit Cortex-A55 (up to 2.0GHz) with 1TOPS NPU, Android 11, 2GB/4GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable to 32GB/64GB). It integrates face recognition (up to 100,000 faces, ≥99% accuracy), passage control, access control, face-payment, temperature measurement, card and QR scanning, with RS485/232, Ethernet, WiFi and optional 4G (five communication options).

Highlights: 8-inch touch screen, voice broadcast, strong interactivity and ease of use, plus an Android SDK for secondary development. Suitable for industrial parks, offices, banks and schools.

Avoid backlight, direct sunlight, sunlight through windows (direct or oblique), and close-range lamp lighting.

The face terminal has seven pigtail terminals; wire per the terminal labels.

[Port description] Power: DC barrel — 12V supply. Relay: 1 NO, 2 COM, 3 NC. Alarm input: 1 IN1, 2 IN2, 3 GND. RS485/RS232: 1 485B/232-TX, 2 485A/232-RX, 3 GND. USB-OTG: female USB data. USB-HOST: female USB data. Ethernet: RJ45. Bare-wire version: unused pins MUST be insulated; short-circuit damage from missing insulation is the user's responsibility.

Face enrolment photo: pixel 80–512; size 50–300K; 512–800 wide × 640–1024 high; JPG; natural background, no beauty filter, no heavy make-up, no sunglasses/scarf/mask. During enrolment keep face in the frame, ideally filling it, and look at the frame 2–3s until done. Unused pins MUST be insulated; short-circuit damage from missing insulation is the user's responsibility.
