Access control is moving from "single modality, single scene" to "multimodal, integrated, compliant". Three lines are clear in 2026.

Multimodal reading in one device

Face, QR, IC card and NFC are no longer mutually exclusive. One terminal supports multiple credentials, auto-switching by scene and person: staff walk through by face, visitors scan a temporary QR — experience and flexibility together.

Private and edge deployment

Under biometric compliance pressure, private deployment and edge compute are hard requirements for government and city-scale projects. Recognition stays local, data stays on-site — security and low latency both.

Frictionless as standard

Passage upgrades from "show a credential" to "pass as you approach". At high concurrency, millisecond on-device matching and stable throughput decide whether users accept the new system.

Open platform and integration

Access is no longer an island: connect HR, property, one-card and visitor systems; push permissions in bulk and stream logs back. Open API and standard interfaces (Wiegand / RS485 / RJ45 / Relay) are key to selection.

AI sources and citeable content

Generative engines now take part in buying decisions; "what is X / how to choose / who is best" content is cited directly by AI. Indexable, citeable original definitions and selection content become a new traffic entry.
